Thanks for coming to read!
I'm guessing most of you who are reading this are TC volunteers. You guys rock!
In previous years we've tried to give captains devotional material to read up on to spiritually prepare them for the conference, but also to help them build up a habit of dwelling on God and His Word regularly.
The material on this blog is of a more casual nature, hopefully it is more relevant and friendly. They are meant to help you see God in the mundane of life. Quite often we experience God through larger-than-life events like TC. And that's awesome that we do. But what happens when we don't have crazy events and incidents in our life? Does it mean we don't experience God? Is the thirst for God gone when the hype is gone? Of course not! God is all around us, if only we open our eyes to see and experience Him. The Bible says "Taste and see that the Lord is good." I really love this verse, because it reminds me that God is as real as the food we eat and the universe we see with our eyes.
The first section of each blog is written by me, Rebecca (TC2009 coordinator) and the added commentary is written by my friend Sam, who I love to turn to for insights and encouragements. Please comment!! I want to hear your insights and thoughts too. We can all learn from each other this way.
Enjoy =)
